Technical Implementation Specialist
Job Description:
- Provide technical support for end users of Java based scheduling application.
- Be part of a team that provides 24/7 support to guarantee an uptime of over 95%.
- Liaise with technical teams at client sites to analyze and recommend technical infrastructure for the deployment of the software.
- Maintain technical specification documentation and processes.
- Install software on windows based servers and routinely monitor the health of both the server and the deployed software.
- Work with the QA team to report glitches to ensure the quick turnaround times of patches.
- Gather and analyze requirements to enhance the interfacing capability between the scheduling application and other clinical information systems. Experience in HL7 a plus.
- Conduct UAT with clients to place developed interfaces into production.
- Routinely monitor the live interfaces, generating error reports to be sent to clients on a regular basis. Conduct internal testing of interface enhancements during new releases of the software.
- Work closely with the Client Services team to implement and deploy the software at new client sites.
- Perform basic database administration tasks such as (not limited to) database backups, performance analysis and security. Experience with MS SQL Server 2000/2005 and MySQL 5 a plus.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum of two years experience
- BS or MS degree with at least one in computer science or software engineering
- Ability to manage and balance work requirements on a priority basis
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and be able to work independently as well as a team environment
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
